May Wang

|
Born in the heart of San Francisco, May Wang began performing in piano recitals and ballet productions at the tender age of five. Her passion for the arts extended to her professional work in the Old Globe Theatre, then in television with ABC's NYPD Blue, Sci-Fi series Chronicle, and in commercials including her national T-mobile run with Catherine Zeta-Jones.
After winning the Miss Asia Pageant, May graduated from UCSD while concurrently managing to build the foundation of a professional acting career. As an active contributor to the Asian-American artistic community, she is a member of East West Players and Lodestone Theatre Ensemble.
May currently resides in Los Angeles and will appear in Body and Soul of a Chinese Woman, www.MayWang.net. She thanks Ian Shen, Lime, the cast and crew of Joy in the Mourning for all their phenomenal work and encourages everyone to live to their fullest potential. Website

Robert Wu

A San Francisco native, Robert Wu has performed with several Bay Area theatres including Berkeley Repertory Theatre, California Shakespeare Festival, and New Conservatory Theatre (SF Bay Guardian Great Performance Award for The Nanjing Race). LA credits include Paint Your Wagon at the Geffen Playhouse, Waiting For Lefty at the Lee Strasberg Theatre, and The Comedy of Errors at the Knightsbridge Theatre. Overseas, he has appeared in Mere Mortals at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and also in China, as a series regular on the hit TV show Human Cargo. Other TV credits include recurring appearances on The Shield and Robbery Homicide Division as well as guest starring roles on Numb3rs and Threshold. Robert has also appeared in several award winning films including November, Kung Phooey, and A Temp for All Seasons (168 Hour Film Festival Award for Best Actor). He currently serves as an acting coach for Changing Perceptions, the nation’s first theater company made up of blind and physically disabled performers. Website |

Originally from Houston Texas this AADA ‘85 graduate has worked at and received numerous awards from theaters across the country. In Los Angeles he has been associated with Actor’s Alley, The Company Rep., Knightsbridge Theater, Celebration Theater, Company of Angels and many other theater companies. Most recently seen in Play Strindberg at The Company Rep. Other credits include; Someone Who’ll Watch Over Me, Only the Dead Know Burbank, A Most Secret War, Round & Round The Garden, Comedy of Errors, Serena Queen of the Tango, Hunchback of Notre Dame, Life Support and The Puppet Master of Lodz to name a few. Mr. Garcia has received 8 Dramalogue Critics Awards, a Theater LA Ovation Award and a Valley Theater League Award for Acting. Television credits include The Gilmore Girls, The Practice, Malcolm in the Middle, Dragnet, E.R., Shasta McNasty, The Others, Profiler, 7 Days High Incident, Beverly Hills 90210, Pretender and others. Film credits include Point of No Return, 8 Lanes in Hamilton, Critics & Other Freaks, The Man in the Iron Mask, Cold Sweat and (if you look very quick) you’ll see him getting pummeled by David Keith in Daredevil. Mr. Garcia is proud to be part of the directing staff here at AADA. Joe’s other directing credits include: The Prime of Miss Jean Brody, Suburbia, A Lie of The Mind, Pearl Harbor Day in Muncie, Lone Star to name a few. Joni Bovill

A native of Mississippi, the accomplished actor, singer and writer has appeared in a number of film, television, commercial and stage roles. She has signed on for a co-starring role in Hallmark’s movie of the week “Jane Doe” which starts filming in early March. Currently she can be seen in two TV commercials. Joni was a guest star on TV One’s 2005 Christmas special “The Gospel of Music” with Jeff Majors. Last fall, she appeared in TBN’s “Believers Among Us” series. “Believers” licensed four original songs from Joni and her husband, Kirk’s two critically acclaimed CDs. Joni can be heard singing on two episodes of the series. Joni produced and starred in “Dinner for One” as part of last year’s 168 Project. She is represented by Angel City Talent and The Morgan Agency for theatrical and commercial, respectively. I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength. I've loved acting since I was seven years old and had the lead in the Christmas School play. I studied at the Goodman Theatre at the Art Institute in Chicago.,Stella Adler in New York,UCLA,Tony Barr's Acting for the Camera and AIA Studios[ongoing].
Films include"A Face in the Crowd", "Mark of the Gun',Voice Over in"Death and Texas",several short films as well as Educational and Commercial films.
TV includes "Grey's Anatomy","Days of Our Lives",and in New York"The Martin Kane Show","The Wendy Barrie Show",and "Blue Angel Show" The Don McNiel Show in Chicago.
Stage, Understudied on Broadway"The Wooden Dish" and several Off Broadway Shows. In Los Angeles "Bill W. and Dr. Bob, "No Place to Run" "I Am a Camera",A Sakespeare Festival, I toured for a year in North and South Carolina in "Springtime for Henry" and several years of Summer Stock all over the East coast and Midwest.
My career was interrupted for an extended period of time to raise my lovely daughter. My change in careers included designing, developing,and directing Achohol and drug abuse treatment programs for ten years. I then became Corporat Director of the Employee Assistance Program for Hughes Aircraft Co. for twenty years. During this time I testified befor Congress on the value of Employee Assistance Programs in Corporate America.
I just completed two films for the 168 Film Festival
